What is Debit MasterCard?

Debit MasterCard  is an international debit card for individuals, which is linked to the current account of citizens. "International" means accepted at all counters, ATMs, and outlets with a Debit MasterCard logo, in the country and the world. "Debit" means that at the time of the transaction (cash withdrawal at counters and ATMs, payment for goods and services by card) you must have at least the amount of the transaction you wish to make.

 

Advantages of using Debit MasterCard

  •  Get rid of carrying cash. Specifically, you can pay for goods and services, as well as withdraw cash, with the card at all points of sale and ATMs, in the country and the world, with the Debit MasterCard logo highlighted.
  • Travel carefree. When you are abroad, you do not have to carry large sums of money, bother with buying foreign exchange, etc. All debits on the card that you make by cash withdrawal or purchase are converted into KM at the rate of MasterCard on the day of debit.
  • Fast and easy money transfer. As the Debit MasterCard Card User, you can authorize your loved ones to withdraw money from your account by issuing an additional Debit MasterCard card.
  • Travel safely. By getting a Debit MasterCard card, you also get a personal PIN, which only you should know, thus protecting your money in the event of a card loss or theft.

 

Conditions for obtaining a Debit MasterCard

To get the Debit MasterCard tab of Naša Banka a.d. it is necessary:

  • that you are a BiH citizen or that you are a foreign national with a registered stay in BiH for more than 1 year.
  • to have a current account with Naša Banka a.d. (you can open it up at any counter of Naša Banka a.d.)
  •  to submit a completed Application for Payment Card at the counter Naša Banka a.d.
  •  to submit a photocopy of the identification document with the original document for validation
  •  to sign a Debit Card Agreement

An extra Debit MasterCard card Naša Banka a.d. can be obtained by a person that is:

  •  16 years or older, and has a valid Identification Document
  • has the authorization of the holder of the primary card, meaning the Primary Card User submits the completed Application for issuance of an additional card at the counter of Naša Banka a.d., signed by both the Primary Card User and the authorized person
  •  to submit a photocopy of the identification document with the original document for validation.

You can authorize up to two people for an additional card.

 

Rules for using the Debit MasterCard

  •   Debit MasterCard card can be used to pick up cash at counters and ATMs, as well as to shop at points of sale, in the country and the world, which are prominently marked with the Debit MasterCard sign.
  •   Debit MasterCard card can be used until the deadline indicated on the card, after which, unless you emphasize that you no longer wish to use the card, it is reissued, and you get a new card with a new expiry date.
  •   Debit MasterCard is not transferable to another person, and should not be used as an instrument to secure payment.
  • When withdrawing cash or purchasing with the Debit MasterCard card, you are required to enter your PIN at ATMs and Points of Sale, which is considered your signature.
  •  The user of the Debit MasterCard card is also responsible for the proper use of the additional cards issued with his/her primary card.
  •  The Cardholder is obliged to report the loss or theft of the card immediately by calling the Customer Service (number on the back) in order to block the card and prevent its misuse.
  • For your safety, there is a daily limit set for cash withdrawal with a Debit MasterCard card at KM 500.00 per day. If you wish to change this spending limit, contact Customer Service. The daily limit can only be changed at the request of the cardholder.

  • Cash withdrawal at ATMs NAŠA BANKA AD and NOVA BANKA AD free of charge
  • Inquiries on ATMs NAŠA BANKA AD and NOVA BANKA AD 0.30 KM
  • Balance inquiry at ATMs of other banks 0.30 KM
  • Cash withdrawal in the network of other banks in the country and abroad (up to 500 KM) 5 KM, over 500 KM 1.5% of the amount
  • The annual membership fee for primary card 5km
  • Annual membership fee for additional card 10KM

 

Fees and provisions from 1.1.2021.

  • Cash withdrawal at the counter at no cost
  • Cash withdrawal at ATMs NAŠA BANKA AD and NOVA BANKA AD free of charge
  • Inquiries on ATMs NAŠA BANKA AD and NOVA BANKA AD 0.30 KM
  • Balance inquiry at ATMs of other banks 1 KM
  • Cash withdrawal in the network of other banks in the country 1,50% (min. 5,00 KM)
  • Cash withdrawal abroad 2,50% (min. 10,00 KM)
  • Annual membership fee for basic card (without package) 20KM
  • Annual membership with a free package
  • Annual membership fee for additional card (without package) 20KM
  • Annual membership fee for an additional card with package 10KM
  • Replacement of damaged, stolen or lost card 20KM
  • Unjustified request for reclamation by the user 20KMM
  • Emergency card 30 KM
  • Fee for changing PIN code at PIB ATMs (this option does not currently work at ATMs) 3 KM
  • The cost of unblocking PIN 5KM
  • 3Dsecure 0,50 KM per transaction

 

Useful tips

  •  do not keep the card in a visible place
  •  don't lend your card to anyone
  •  never keep your PIN and card in the same place
  •  remember Your PIN or write it down somewhere safe and destroy the envelope with the PIN code
  •  do not write down the PIN code on the card and do not reveal it to anyone
  •  do not share your personal information and card information with strangers, especially not online
  •  when paying by card, please note:
    •  that the merchant does not carry a card outside Your field of vision
    •  no one sees your PIN when you type it in
    •  not to sign a blank slip
    •  have the merchant cancel the slip if he made a mistake before signing a new one
    •  check the amount on the slip before signing it
  •  keep your slips for checking statement records
  •  immediately report to the Bank any irregularities on the statement
  •  if the statement is in order, immediately after the review, destroy it, because it carries information about your card
  • make sure you return the expired cards to the Bank
  •  use ATMs that are in busy and illuminated locations
  •  don't let others see your PIN when typing in an ATM
  •  do not count the money in front of the ATM
